All other features are the same for both versions of this nursing pillow: the backrest support, the soft fabric, the firm texture, the pouch where the mother can put an item she may need during breastfeeding, her mobile phone or the baby nail clippers. Because the foam is very firm, the pillow will support a good part of the baby’s weight, so the mom can spare her arms. This can be a nice benefit in case the mom had gone through a C section.
The pillow cover can be washed, but it is quite difficult to detach it from the foam, therefore it would be best to buy an additional cover. Spit-ups and diaper blowouts are common for newborns, so you’ll probably have to wash your pillow cover very often. If you decide not to but an extra cover, make sure to wash the cover separately from other clothing items, because the Velcro will most probably destroy some of your laundry if you forget to attach it to itself.
Although My Brest Friend offer so many advantages to breastfeeding mothers, one of its drawbacks is that putting it on is a rather tedious job, so if your baby is crying with hunger, you may not be able to cradle her with one hand while attaching your nursing pillow with the other.
